This fit my M1 Garand perfectly!! So well, I’m ordering a 2nd for my other Garand! It works great with the iron sights or with a PA 5X micro prism mounted to it using the Cogburn Arsenal mount. There’s even room to raise the cheek riser more if you want to mount something higher for some reason. The riser is SHOCKINGLY rock solid. The length is perfect, not too short, not too long. The width is perfect, this will make sense to anyone who has ever tried to get a proper cheek weld on a comb that was too thin or a cheek riser that was way too wide. The attachment straps are perfect, heavy duty, not the old fuzzy stuff, and strong “stickiness” so you’re not constantly fighting it to keep it stuck together. Aesthetically, I think it looks awesome. If you’re feeling creative, you can paint it or have it cerakoted. This is an amazing solution for not having to alter the original stock and not having to buy an aftermarket stock. The finish and the wood are also well protected with the padding on the inside and the soft side of the straps. Whether you want to take grandpa’s M1 Garand hunting or have a better setup to do load work ups or ammo testing prior to changing it back to the rifles original configuration to shoot a competition, this is an excellent solution that I highly recommend.
